Background info on the Company
2nd Coleraine Boys' Brigade Company is attached to 1st Coleraine and New Row Presbyterian Churches. The Company is made up of 3 sections - Anchor Boys, Junior Section and Company Section - and presently there are a total of 70 boys on the roll.
Each section takes part in a varied and balanced programme that typically includes games, crafts, badgework as well as a spiritual element, appropriate to the various age groups. Aside from the weekly programme, the boys also have the opportunity to do "out of hall" activities, which include participation in competitions with boys from other companies at Battalion (local) and Regional (Northern Ireland) levels; taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme; BBQs; Outings/visits; and occasionally camps/weekends.
In 2004, 2nd Coleraine Boys' Brigade Company celebrated its 100th birthday and held a number of events during the year to mark this important milestone in the Company's history.
