Small Groups
Q. How can you most effectively become a part of the Church fellowship and develop as a disciple of Christ?
A. Be a member of a small group. You can make close friends and learn from others as you study the Bible, talk and pray together. In First Coleraine we view these groups as basic building blocks adding strength to the whole congregation. Here, perhaps more than anywhere you can grasp what it is to be a member of the body of Christ.
Small Groups Mission Statement: "To provide fellowship groups where people can encounter Christ, become more like him and strengthen the Church".
Small group aims
Encountering God: by praying and studying the Bible together, with the help of the Spirit.
Discipleship: learning to follow and obey Christ.
Involving Everyone: learning from each other; giving everyone a role and developing their gifts.
Creating a Community: loving and supporting one another; developing a sense of Church family in First Coleraine.
Reaching Out: finding ways of drawing outsiders in.
Most groups meet in the evenings (Tue, Wed or Thu) at the homes of our members. There are also two groups that meet during the day in church premises. In all of these activities we have something that will be suitable for everyone.
